A Graduate and Dance Champion

A Scary Moment

Giving a physical description of your child to a police officer is something no one ever wants to do, but it is exactly where we found ourselves yesterday, Saturday.  We took a break from an all day dance competition to run some errands.   We were letting the kids play at the mall play area for awhile.  When it was time to leave Randy and I got Max and put his shoes on him.  We then turned our attention to Madden to turn around and find Max had vanished!  We immediately started to look through the surrounding area and stores to no avail.  I sent Bridger and Bailey, together, down one hall and Randy down another while I went to the nearest Kiosk and called for security.  Hysteria set in while I waited for them to come.  With a frantic prayer in all of our hearts we continued to look.  The police officer arrived and through my tears I told him what Max looked like, how old he is, and what he was wearing.  To my left I see Bridger and Bailey coming back with Max in between them!  It was such a mixture of hugging him and reprimanding him at the same time.  He had run down the hall looking for Bridger only to be side tracking by a coin operated school bus, climbed in and waited to be found.  The whole thing lasted about 20 minutes, but felt like forever.  We all love our kids so much and try everyday to protect them and when something happens to them...(I can't find the words)
