RACE DAY

Randy and I have been getting ready for this race for months!

I ran the 1/2 marathon and Randy ran the 10k!!!

He ROCKS

It was called the MAD marathon (make a differnce)

It was sponsored by the Osmond Hearing Fund, which provides children with hearing aids that wouldn't be able to afford them otherwise!

They had 3 families there that recieved the help, very cool!

OK, on to the race...

 I started at 7am

I always get so nervous, i hate it

There is really nothing logical about getting scared to run, grrr

Apparently this is my nervous face...

So ugly

Randy thought it was funny

 I was really excited when I realized my pace was fast (for me) enough that I would be back before Randy started his race at 9 (9minute mile:-)

Then...

there were no volunteers at our last corner, so we all ran straight instead of turning(full marathon route)

We, half marathoners, ended up running 15 miles in stead of 13.1

I didn't make it back to see Randy leave, but...

I never thought I would run 15 miles and I did!

 My offical time says 2:12

but that is for the 15 miles

My time at 13 miles was 1:56

That's what I am going with:-)

I did see Randy finish...

after I got a massage, ahhhh

He did great, was actually smiling when he ran in!!!

 This was his first 10k ever and his first race this year
